Larchill Arcadian Gardens

Option A - The Red Route

This submission is to draw attention to the operation of Larchill Arcadian Garden - open from May to September annually as a national heritage visitor attraction.
Access is required directly from the R125 - for all visitors whether by bike, foot or motor vehicle.   Route A as  proposed is situated  along the length of the R125 from Kilcock and onwards towards Batterstown.
Larchill Arcadian Garden will be directly effected from both directions for access along the  R125.
This will be detrimental to the operation of the business, particularly if road diversions are implemented.    From experience of past road diversions in similar circumstances, these by necessity of the local road layout, are kilometres in length and deter local access.

Main opinion:

Option A if chosen - Road access must be maintained along the R125 in both directions during works.

Main requests:

Option A - Should this route be chosen - access must be maintained via traffic light management only to ensure easy and continual access along route of R125.

Main reasons:

Should road diversions be implemented - these will be inevitably lengthy due to the local road layout and will, therefore, be detrimental to the operation of Larchill Arcadian Garden (from May to Sept) as the nature of these diversions are a deterrent to incoming visitors. This we know from past experience.
