The DASSA Product Review & Locational Methodology Consultation includes a product review and outlines key considerations for the locational requirements of the Reserve Services that will be included in the initial Day-Ahead System Services Auction (DASSA) arrangements. These services are vital for maintaining grid stability and supporting EirGrid and SONI’s commitment to integrate up to 80% renewable energy into the electricity supply by 2030.
Your views and suggestions
The TSOs published the DASSA Volume Forecasting Methodology Consultation paper on the 6th of June, opening a 6-week consultation period that closed on 18th of July. All feedback collected during this time was reviewed thoroughly.
Outcomes
The consultation feedback has been reflected into the DASSA Product Review & Locational Methodology Recommendations Paper. The TSOs published the paper on the EirGrid and SONI websites on the 4th of October, alongside the publication of the SEM Committee’s decision on the DASSA Product Review & Locational Methodology.
