Consultation on Structure and Content of the Transmission Development Plan

Closed2 Jul, 2025, 11:00 - 8 Aug, 2025, 17:00

Primary tabs

The Transmission Development Plan (TDP) is a statutory requirement as set out in EirGrid’s TSO licence and also Irish and EU legislation, which is produced in a two-year cycle. The TDP reports the planned transmission infrastructure projects due to be built or upgraded over a ten-year horizon. The aim of this consultation is to seek feedback from industry and stakeholders on how the TDP going forward can better serve its audience while continuing to fulfil its statutory obligations. The insights received will help inform the revised structure and content for future editions of the TDP.

EirGrid aims to make the TDP more user-centric, effective and a focussed resource in an evolving energy landscape.

EirGrid invites all industry, stakeholders and public to submit their responses on the questions posed regarding the structure of the Transmission Development Plan. The consultation will remain open until 5pm on 31st July 2025.
